Kat Von D

I am majorly obsessing over this girl at the moment. I was toying with the idea of getting a tattoo and started buying tattoo books so I bought both of hers as I had heard she was a pretty rad tattoo artist. The books were awesome so then I started watching LA Ink. Wow. I have never wanted a tattoo so much in my life and I really want her to do it, although that is a bit of a jump as she lives in LA and, well, I don't. However I have found a local shop with a really good rep so that will have to do:D

Anyway, back to Kat Von D. She is hot, she has amazing tattoos and she is super intelligent. She always knows what she's doing and why she's doing it and her art work is immense. I have never been so impressed by tattoos and now I REALLY WANT ONE!

Sundance Film Festival Fashion

I love Sundance. It usually shows films with a small budget and a deeper meaning than a lot of the big blockbusters and the girls always wear my sort of clothes- indie bohemian with glamour thrown in. Just look at this from Who What Wear-

Black Swan

I went to see this film the other night and it was not what I was expecting. It was amazing but a lot darker than I had thought. I won't talk about too much for those who haven't seen it but it is totally worth seeing.

This post is about the costumes. They were beautiful! They were designed by Rodarte. So incredible. Unfortunately, the designers have been ignored for an Oscar for best costume design. I don't know why. Just look at these pictures-

Mila Kunis is incredible in the film and is now my new favourite actress. I suggest you all go and see it but if you want a pretty film purely about ballet, don't see it! Your brain will get turned into mush!

I have bought my wedding dress:)

So excited! I have finally bought my wedding dress and it is beautiful. I won't say too much about it as my partner reads my blog (hi Jamie!) but just know that I am happy with it and I love it:) Woo!

The Sophie Lancaster Foundation

I recently discovered this charity and for some reason it has really spoken to me.

The aims and objectives of the Charity are as follows:

• To create a lasting legacy to Sophie.
• To provide educational group-works that will challenge the prejudice and intolerance towards people from alternative subcultures.
• To campaign to have the UK Hate Crime legislation extended to include people from “alternative subcultures” or “Lifestyle and Dress”

To bully, mock, laugh at or pick on someone because they are different is not right. Sophie was killed for being "different". People need to understand that everyone is different and special in their own right. What happened to Sophie is despicable and I hope that we all learn a very important lesson out of her tragic death.
