A toddler who disappeared into a South Dakota corn field late Sunday was found safe Monday morning after a desperate search, local media reported.
The two-year-old wandered out of the field on Monday after his mom used a loudspeaker to call out to him, according to Keloland-TV.
Taydon Faulhaber was in the field near Plankinton with his father when he ran off amid the searing temperatures affecting the region.
Nearly 200 people scoured the area, but the search proved difficult because of the field's size and the height of the corn, Keloland-TV.
Aurora County Emergency Manager David Baker told the TV station that the search had been growing "more desperate" as time passed.
Faulhaber does not appear to have any injuries but he is getting checked out by medical personnel.
